Support OpenTodo

OpenTodo is free, and it will stay free. That means the server, the web app, the Android app, the iOS app when it comes, and everything that grows out of them. No paid tier, no "pro" features, no ads.

For years I've taken from the open-source community: tools, libraries, answers, ideas, other people's evenings and weekends. OpenTodo is my way of giving something back. So I don't expect anything in return, and I'm happy to keep paying for it myself.

What I promise

  1. Forever free and open source. No paid tier, no "pro" features, no ads, ever.

  2. Every reported bug addressed within 24 hours.

  3. Every enhancement request addressed within 72 hours.

  4. Continuous development. OpenTodo keeps getting better, release after release.

  5. Always an open door. You can reach me on Discord, GitHub or by email, and every message gets read.

What it costs

I think it's fair to be open about what it takes to keep OpenTodo running:

That doesn't count the time, which I give gladly.

WhatCost
Claude, the AI that helps me build and maintain OpenTodoabout €200 a month
The server for the website, the demo and testing€15 a month
The domain, open-todo.app€15 a year
Google Play developer account€25, once
Apple developer account, for the iOS app€100 a year

If you'd like to help

If OpenTodo makes your days a little calmer and you'd like to chip in, it is genuinely appreciated, and it goes straight into the costs above:

And if money isn't your thing (no judgement at all), these help just as much:

  • a ⭐ on GitHub, so other people find it;
  • telling a friend, or writing about how you use it;
  • reporting a bug, suggesting a feature, or joining the Android test;
  • translating, improving the docs, or sending a pull request;
  • saying hello on Discord.

Thank you for being here. 🙏
