Check these, in order

  1. Check the email address and that Caps Lock is off. Passwords are at least 10 characters. I can’t sign in
  2. Wait a little after several failed attempts. The server makes you wait before you can try again. I can’t sign in
  3. Forgot your password? OpenTodo does not send reset emails. Ask the owner or an admin of your server for a reset link; it works once. Change your password
  4. Lost your two-factor phone? Use one of your recovery codes in place of the code. Without them, the server owner can reset your two-factor authentication. Recovery codes
  5. You are the owner and locked out? The reset link comes from a command on the server itself. Recover the owner password

Good to know

  • With a passkey on a second device, a forgotten password is not a problem: choose Sign in with a passkey. Sign in with a passkey
  • The demo has no sign-in at all: Try the demo creates a private sandbox. If it says the sandbox expired, start a new one. The demo says my sandbox expired
