Place
Give every item one home. When each task lives in exactly one place, you know where to look, and anything not in front of you can safely be ignored.

The homes#
| If the item | Place it | How |
|---|---|---|
| belongs to an outcome with several steps | a project | m in triage, or the project chip |
| must happen on a day | Scheduled | give it a due date (s in triage) |
| cannot start before a day | Later | a start date (Shift+N in a list) |
| waits for someone or another task | Waiting | assign it (a) or set Blocked by (b) |
| is a maybe | Someday | y in triage, n in a list |
The full list, with the screen for each, is in Places.
Waiting#
Waiting (g Shift+W) lists everything assigned to someone else, grouped by person, and everything blocked by another open task. Look at it in the weekly review and follow up where something has stalled.
Hide what is not now#
Someday and deferred tasks stay out of Today, Upcoming and Next until they matter. You lose nothing: Someday has its own view and the review shows it once a week.
