Feedback and support
OpenTodo is free and open source, made by one person in the open. These are the ways to reach that person and to help the project.
On this page
Report a problem or suggest an idea#
Open an issue on GitHub. Say what you did, what you expected and what happened instead, and which version you run (the Help page shows it at the top). Every report is read. Before reporting a problem, the troubleshooting guide may already have the fix.
If you found a security problem, do not open a public issue: follow SECURITY.md in the repository instead.
Talk to other people#
Join the OpenTodo server on Discord to ask a question, show how you use the app or see what other people build. It is the place for conversation; a bug report is still best as an issue, so it is not lost in the chat. Nothing in the app talks to Discord: the link opens it in a new tab only when you choose to.
Help other people find it#
Star OpenTodo on GitHub. Stars are how many people discover open-source projects, so a star is a real help. Telling a friend who pays for a task app works too.
Buy me a coffee#
If OpenTodo saves you a subscription, a coffee helps keep it going. It is entirely optional: OpenTodo has no paid plan and every feature is free.
Settings → About#
Settings → About has all of these in one place: the version your server runs, Help, the documentation and the website, the issue tracker, the Discord server, the source code and the coffee button.
The welcome note#
The first time the owner opens a new server, a short note thanks them and shows these links. It appears once per account; closing it on one device closes it on all of them. People invited to the server do not see it, and neither does the public demo. The owner can open it again from Settings → About → Welcome note.
